Creating Art that Tells Your Story

At Gitty Strauss Photography, my work doesn't end when I put down my camera. In fact, the most rewarding part of the process happens after the session. My job isn't done until you have beautiful pieces on your walls that you are proud to show off. I want you to have that feeling of looking up at a photo and instantly smiling because it captures the essence of the people in your life most important to you.

But how do we get those photos off the camera and onto your walls? That happens at the Gallery Reveal.

What is a Gallery Reveal?

About two weeks after your photo session we will schedule an appointment for your Reveal. This is a dedicated time for us to meet (typically at my studio in Lakewood) to view your images for the first time and make your final selections.

Here is a step-by-step look at what happens during this appointment:

1. Sit Back and Enjoy the Show

We start the appointment in a relaxed atmosphere. You get to sit back and watch a beautiful slideshow of the best images from your session. This is often an emotional moment for parents, seeing their new baby or precious 3 year old on the big screen!

2. Discussing Your Vision

Before we dive into the nitty-gritty of selecting photos, we discuss your goals. Where do you want these images displayed? Are we looking for a statement piece for the nursery, or a collage for the hallway? How many images were you hoping to keep?

3. Selecting Your Favorites

Next, we will go through the pictures one by one. This is a stress-free process of elimination. You choose your absolute favorites, and we will continue to narrow them down until we have a solid selection of images that you love.

4. Custom Design and Layouts

This is where the magic happens. Once we have your top choices, I will show you various layouts that work with your specific images. Using specialized software, I can show you exactly how the images will look grouped together. I will play around with the arrangement until you are completely satisfied with the overall look.

5. Finalizing the Details

Once we have the perfect design, we will confirm the exact sizes and decide on the medium you want them printed on (such as canvas, framed prints, or acrylic). I have sample images in various mediums and sizes to help you better visualize the different options.

6. From Order to Perfection

After our appointment, I take care of the rest. First, I hand edit each of the selected pictures to perfection. Then I place your order directly with a professional lab that specializes in museum-quality prints. This isn't just about hitting "print"—it's about ensuring your images are sharp, color-correct, and built to last for generations.

Before you take your art home, I inspect every image to make sure it is flawless and exactly what we envisioned. You get to skip the stress of online ordering and just enjoy the beautiful results.

How to Prepare for Your Appointment

To get the most out of our time together, before you come in:

  1. Measure Your Space: Please come prepared with the dimensions of the walls or spaces where you want to display the pictures.
  2. Take a Photo: It is best to bring a photo of that specific wall/room on your phone.

When you bring a photo of your room, I can actually upload it into my design software and show you your own photos on your own wall to scale! This takes the guesswork out of sizing and ensures the final art fits your home perfectly.

Let’s Create Something Beautiful

I believe your photos deserve better than sitting on a USB drive in a drawer. They deserve to be lived with and loved every day.

I look forward to seeing you at your Reveal and helping you design the perfect artwork for your home here in Ocean County.
